Crap... It's very depressing, reading the posts on voteband forum. I shall just copy and paste from Adeline's blog. " I’m pretty hurt abot the vicious comments people are throwing at my band. It makes me wanna cry. I saw my members’ effort, I saw everything they did, I saw how hard they worked to overcome difficulty over difficulty. And when they won, finally a moment of joy, people make mean, vulgar comments. I hate it when I see it. Saying my band is a clown band? Saying the judges are blind? What happened to sportsmanship? Everyone used to be super anti-VI, now once we won, we’re the target of everything. People are making comments that are not constructive and are just there to hurt us and pull us down. I don’t understand what’s their problem? " " I don't understand what the hell is wrong with everyone. Seriously. Every band put in hours and hours of practice. We should understand each other and respect each others’ feelings! But what happens? When someone wins, they become the target of every single gossip around. Which is why, I hate the band industry. Sore losers and hypocrites everywhere. And seriously lousy English. I should go give them tuition. And all the contradictions. First they say our music is lousy, then they say that drills should be given more emphasis then music in marking. Wtf.. if you side with whoever who loses, I say you have no mind of your own. And I genuinely am proud of them. " Yeah, I don't understand what the hell is wrong with everyone too. Some people are just not civilised and sporting. Every year's champion has to be stepped by people. What's the point of posting stupid stuff, you think you can make a difference? Totally bull shit. These people are just plain stupidity. What's the point of comparing with the world class bands and professional bands? We are just ordinary high school students who are still eating books. I don't understand why. Cheer leading can get tonnes of support and sponsors from people, but band industry....people keep backstabbing you. I shall not make any judgement. We know it ourselves and we just keep it in low profile. We have good virtues and qualities. We are certainly not those stupid dumb brainless people who speak shit. Conclusion, ignore that page.
